This Executive Suite, also known as our Honeymoon Suite, is situated on the upper level above our restaurant. It features a private staircase leading to the room, offering a beautiful view of the pecan nut orchard and mountains. This extremely spacious room boasts a thatch roof, a king-size sleigh bed, air-conditioning, coffee and tea facilities, and an honesty mini bar. The open-plan bedroom and bathroom include a stunning Victorian bathtub, a separate shower, and an en-suite toilet. Additionally, the suite has an extra single bed, making it versatile enough to accommodate a child or third family member, transforming it into a family room if needed.
Interesting to Know
The wine cellar at Jan Harmsgat Farm serves as a reminder of the days when the property was a large wine estate. During that period, the farm was owned by F.J. van Eeden, a member of the Legislature, who inherited it from the previous owner, Gideon van Zyl. This historical connection highlights the farm’s rich heritage and its longstanding involvement in viticulture.
