This room, situated on the lower level of the Classic Quarters, shares a communal lounge area with one other bedroom. It features a king-size bed, which can also be configured as twin beds if desired, making it ideal for sharing with family or friends. Additionally, there’s an single bed in the room as well for a third person or child. Guests can enjoy amenities such as coffee/tea, water, and an honesty mini-bar offering a selection of beers, soft drinks, and quality wines. The room includes an en-suite bathroom with a claw foot bath and a hand shower, a ceiling fan for added comfort, a TV with a selected DSTV package, and unlimited internet access. Outside the building, guests are treated to a breathtaking view of the mountains, enhancing the overall experience of staying at Jan Harmsgat Farm.

Interesting to Know

In 1789, Jan Harmsgat Farm came under the ownership of Hermanus Steyn de Jonge. Prior to acquiring the farm, he had married Margaretha van Staden in 1765. By the time he took possession of Jan Harmsgat, he was already a respected figure in the region. In addition to his farming endeavors, Hermanus Steyn de Jonge was involved in trustee work and served on the District Council of Swellendam, demonstrating his commitment to both his community and his agricultural pursuits.
